Mèhèza Kalibani
Mèhèza Kalibani is curator for the colonial past and postcolonial present at the Hamburg Historical Museums Foundation. He holds a designatus doctorate in philosophy. His areas of expertise include phonographic collections from colonial contexts in sound archives and their postcolonial significance, as well as German colonisation and postcolonial theories. He studied Germanic Studies between 2010 and 2016 at the University of Lomé and International Studies in History and Culture between 2016 and 2019 at the University of Siegen. He wrote his doctoral thesis at the Institute for History Education and Public History at the University of Tübingen. It concerns the sound collections produced by colonial administrators in the German colonies between 1902 and 1914.
